Final Editing!

Despite the fact that I always knew that I can’t be a good editor, but for this project I had to edit everything by myself. I’m glad that my dear friends, Dave Baker and Peyman Mojtahedi, who are very experienced editors are available to give me advise and support me in different ways.

Last night the government announced that we will have at least 3 weeks of Lockdown. For many, this is not a good news. However, for me this is an excellent news as I’m able to use the studio any time.

Here are some pictures from this week’s production.

Set visit from Leigh Alner

On 18th of March, Leigh Alner who was my Film lecturer on first and second year, had a surprising visit. It was very encouraging and very productive. At first I was scared to use the crane, however, after couple of times of practicing, I realised how everything is much smother and easier

Second Puppet

Unfortunately, the puppet that I built for the test pilot wasn’t functioning well, therefore I had to re-order a smaller Armature.

Also I had to redesign the puppet in order to have a lighter head and body.

Interior Set

For the interior set I knew that I want sharp angles to create more expressionist feeling. At the same time I had to add props that are very tradition to the Kurdish culture. I’m glad that I had to manage to finish everything with all the details two weeks before the shoot day.
